Mentoring for GTV

Hi all,

I would like to appreciate this forum for providing help in so varied topics to the confused applicants out there. Could you guys help me with this query?

I'm planning to apply for the GTV. As per the mandatory criteria that an applicant should have contributed in the growth of a product based company.

In order to furnish the three recommendation letters during the past 5 years, we have to show our contribution should have been in product based organizations.
In my scenario I was employed by a consultancy ABC but working for various clients like PRD1, PRD2 and PRD3 which all product based companies..
Will be contribution and reference letters from referee of ABC be acceptable?

Personally, I will refrain from imparting any subjective advice or on the merit and strength of the evidence, rather will provide only general guidance.

To my mind, the distinction between a product-based company and a service-based company is whether the company you are employed for has its own customers OR has clients who in-turn have their customers. I am sure you must have noticed few recent endorsement rejections largely on basis of specialisms (i.e not working for a product-based organisation).

I still couldnt get it all. The tech nation says that our contribution should have led the growth of product- based company.
If we are employed by a consulting company by working for and attributing to the growth of product based company, is this not considered?

As part of GTV endorsement application, can you guys advise if Mentoring / Training conducted internally within an organization are acceptable?
Though it was formal and structured, but wasn't external to the company.

Evidence of mentorship (i.e. the sharing or teaching of skills and knowledge). Mentorship should have been done within an organised, structured and recognised mentoring scheme, which can be clearly demonstrated through evidence. Training a colleague or simply providing support or advice is not considered sufficient evidence for these criteria.

I gave my interpretation. The only source of truth is what Tech Nation interprets, which you will find out only when you apply.

I know of few cases where formal and structured program within internal organisation was accepted. But suggest that it should be also supported by other evidences to satisfy QC2 (meaning not being overtly reliant on only internal company mentoring/training)

Online training videos made by me and a certification in the end satisfies this criteria?
