Changing to Tier1 what will happen to my curr dependent visa

Post by Mohammed » Wed Sep 24, 2008 12:42 pm

Hello All,

I am a work permit dependent and I am applying for Tier 1 General Visa. I am working in UK and am going back to my country of origin to apply for Tier 1 as per the new rule. My question is I have a work permit dependent's valid for 5 years, will they cancel this visa if I get my Tier 1 visa approved?

If in case my Tier 1 application gets rejected, will they still cancel my Dependent's visa?
Or will there be no impact to my current visa status?

Any help here is appreciated.

If you qualify in tier 1, then your new visa will supersede your current WP Dependant visa.

If you're application is rejected, your WP dependent visa will still remain valid .
