Set(lr)

Post by Yug80 » Mon Jan 18, 2021 2:36 pm

Hi,
I Came in the UK as a tier 4 dependant in 2010
Till 2019 I was on the same type of visa with 3 extension. I applied before my visa expiry and got them on time with no gap

October 2010 till July 2019 tier 4 dependant

Applied for Flr(FP) in July 2019 before my last visa expires and got visa on 10 years partner route since my husband got ILR ..no gap
My current visa issued in September 2019 and will end in March 2022
Since I have completed 10 years lawfully I want to apply for ILR but which form should I use
SET(LR),Set(m) or set(o)?
Please let me know
Thanks
Yug

Set (LR)
All my posts are my personal opinion based on my reading of the immigration rules and guidance. NOT to be taken as professional/legal advice.

In set(lr) it said if you are partner of a British citizen or settled person do not use this form. Sorry I am bit confused .Dear Zimba, could you please clarify.

SET(LR) is correct. The note is there so that people who want to apply for ILR under family route (who must use form SET(M)) do not end up using the SET(LR) incorrectly

Thank you very much for your reply. You are so kind.
Now I understand, although I am in 10 years partner route now but I am not applying on family route rather I am applying for 10 year route..so I need to apply on Set(lr).
Isn't it Zimba?
Thanks again

Correct. For SET(LR) your current visa type is irrelevant as all visas count. For SET(M) you must have the required continuous time under the family route
