last night I had gone through completing the form and i need few advice

1 # Do I need to send any tenancy agreement (I rented the house from my cousin without any proper agreement). I have been living this house for 12years and my wife joined me 2013 in the same house. We used the same address for last two extensions.
2 # Shall I mention my wife's HO reference number (I can find it from previous acknowledgement letter, though she has no whatsoever application pending)
3 # I have council tax letter by my name and wife's name and also utility bills (not recognised company) by my name and wife's name.
Other four letters would not be a problem as well.
1. Ask for NOC letter
2. Yes if it can be known
3. Fine. These will be accepted.

Thanks everybody for the replies.

I have decided not to apply with 'Out of date' Passport. I shouldn't be giving HO any opportunities to make my case complicated.

My case is very simple. I am British Citizen and my wife had her two extensions and we had only one visit abroad back in 2016. There are no more abroad holidays which lasted more than even a week. We have two kids. One is 6 plus (British) and other one will be about 4 months in 15th Jan ( i didn't apply for his passport yet, name registration booked for 11th Dec and then I'll apply for a passport for him).

What is NOC letter? I don't think he will give me any letter. I pay him end of every month though.

Its is No Objection Certificate or Letter. A simple letter issued by landlord or agent stating they do not have any objection to your spouse staying in the property and their presence will not cause over crowding or lead to breach of the Housing act.

Well you need some evidence confirming your basis of occupation in that accomodation and the same might be asked in the application form too.

One more thing to know. In terms of scanning and uploading documents, what about the .pdf documents? As an example my gas-electric bills, my bank statement, my Job Pay slips they are sent to me by pdf format. Can I just upload them pdf format?

Just to be extra careful,

I am currently on Sick leave. Doctor gave me one month Not Fit for work note (anxiety, mental stress) which will be reviewed in due time and likely to have more. So roughly 2 more months I will be in company sick pay roll.

My pay slip states the following

Salary £-266.28
Co. Sick Pay £2461.46
(SSP Included £433.55)
Geo Allowance £123.58

Net payment £1892.39 (this is exactly what i get in every month after tax)

I am wondering if my Sick pay will cause any trouble to this application?

The sick pay should not cause any trouble. If reflected on pay slip, you can address it in your cover letter.

NB: It may be adviceable to wait for the application outcome before terminating the employment.

Thanks AmazonianX for prompt reply.

It will definitely reflect on the payslip. What should I write on my cover letter?

I am already registered as self employed beside my full time job . I will make sure that required maintaining fund is rolling every month until the outcome. My wife is in metarnity pay and she is receiving SMP around £507 every month. The short fall I can cover from my self employment. This time I am just showing my salaried income as it covers the requirement.

That would perhaps be the more wiser approach.

Set (M)-appointment booked with sopra steria Chelmsford

Post by atikur » Tue Jan 19, 2021 1:51 am

Hi,

I have applied for my wife's settlement in FLR (M) route day before yesterday. I got few questions if any experience people can help me please.

# In Sopra Stera website do I need to upload documents categorically or it doesn't metter as long as all documents are uploaded?
# In terms of 6 correspondence letters, Is it still same that we can just produce max two letters from one source (like bank statement max 2, Letter from council, dvla or hmrevenue max 2). I have produced 7letters for my wife and 8 for me 2018(2),2019(3)2020(2),2021(1)
# Some of the documents that I have arranged to upload are originally from .pdf. (like bank statements, payslips, p60, employer's letter). So, when attending the appointment shall I print them off or I need to chase my company to send me the original everything?
# I forgot to enter the URN for my wife's LITUK in original application. I already took snapshots of all correspondence emails including URN and compiled them in pdf format to upload. Does anybody have any other idea?
# My wife has three passports. All of them were used with HomeOffice. Do I need to upload them all in mandatory section or I can upload the current one in the mandatory section and rest in the Proof of Identity/Travel History or doesn'tmatter

# As a sponsor, shall I just upload the information page of my British Passport. or all the pages including cover? would it be good idea to upload Naturalisation Certificate too?

# FINALLY: Would they allow me to go with my wife to the appointment to support her with the documents? (though guideline says only named person will be allowed, but I am sponsiring her and my name is in the appliation as a sponsor)?

Topics merged!

1. indefinite-leave-to-remain/uploading-yo ... 96002.html

2. You need items from 3 to 6 different sources spread evenly for every 3 to 4 months, either in joint names or addressed individually, for the last 2 years.

3. No need to take print outs or originals.

4. Should be fine, make sure you add a cover letter briefly explaining the omission in the form.

5. Doesn't matter.

6. Bio page of British passport only.

7. What document help do you believe she will need?

Hi,

Thanks for the promopt reply and also for the picture of the catagory. Now I'll be in peace of mind to upload documents.

Once the appointment was booked I received email which says the following
  • All your supporting documents. Bring these with you even if you have already uploaded copies online.

If they ask for the supporting documents, I think its better for me to be with her to explain them all the documents or putting them all in order. If It is just to have the biometric, then doesn't metter.

Did you mean I should write a Cover letter explaining the missing URN and upload it along with all the other documents in sopa steria. Can I upload word documents there ? if yes then which catagory shall I upload it to?

You don't need to take originals with except for the applicant passport and BRP. The appointment is only for biomteric and identity checks.

Just a simple letter explaining you omitted the urn and the evidence to be uploaded with all the rest.
