Spouse visa question

Post by Davin » Tue Jan 19, 2021 2:24 pm

Hi all,

Just been looking at Gov uk website regarding english language requirement for spouse visa and found there are different options and tests listed there.

If one was to apply for initial UK spouse visa from outside UK and required to prove their english language knowledge, what variant of IELTS they are required to do?

Is it IELTS life skills A1?

Regards

Yes applicants can do A1 or do B1 which is used for future applications. It is the same price so you are better of doing a higher test if your English is good to save money.
My opinions should not be constituted as an immigration or legal advice.
