Fiancée visa (if granted)

Post by Daz1738 » Fri Feb 05, 2021 11:13 am

Hi all,

I am just wondering that once you are awarded a uk fiancée visa do all other visas become null and void?

I am in unique situation of living in Northern Ireland and my fiancée is Brazilian but based in the Republic of Ireland. Can she still use her Irish visa to work? Or is it considered dead once you get a visa somewhere else?

UK visas and Republic of Ireland visas are totally separate and independent. The UK doesn't have authority to cancel another countrys visa.

Her Irish visa only applies to Republic of itlrenad and not the UK.

For a fiance visa, she obviously needs to be resident in the UK to marry and switch to a spouse visa.
