Passport supporting docs: Special Delivery

I sent my naturalisation certificate and passport to the Passport Office via Special Delivery. The tracking only shows the item was collected (from my house) but it hasn't been delivered yet and there is no tracking update.

I called Royal Mail and they said that, a part from COVID delays, deliveries to HM Passport office are done and scanned in bulk, and that therefore the item might have arrived but wouldn't have been scanned yet.

I am more concerned about the potential loss of the item than any delay.

Any experiences that could reassure me?
