time to apply transitional tier 1 post study??

time to apply transitional tier 1 post study??

I graduated Oct 07 , I am holding IGS visa expiring Jan 09 , need to transfer to tier 1 post study now.

Any ideas when I should apply? Oct ( within 12 months of graduation) or leave it before my visa runs out in Jan?
