Sponsor spouse visa - self employment (taxi + delivery driver)

Post by nouman_aziz » Thu Feb 11, 2021 6:34 pm

Hi, Im about to apply spouse visa for my mrs. As a sponsor I need to be earning £18,600. So for the last financial year 19/20 I made £22,000 and this was from uber taxi + uber eats + justeats as self employed.

On the letter from account he mentioned me trading as taxi driver. Will this be an issue with the home office?

Or does he have to mention each separately? As i’ll be providing bank statements and it shows separate payments.

Or can i just write this on a covernote that i’ve earned £xx.xx from uber taxi and £xx.xx from deliveries?

Or shall i leave it as is?

Were your combined earnings £22,000 before allowable business expenses were deducted, or after. In other words, what figure has HMRC used to calculate tax due?
