Just leaving this here for now. Will re-post it to the Timelines thread when I've got more to report.

Applied for ILR Route: SET (M) Spouse - 5 Years route
Date application sent: 23/02/2021
Documents Submitted Online: 23/02/2021
Biometrics appointment scheduled: 25/02/2021
Approval/Refusal Received:
BRP Card Received:

Was surprised to be able to get a local biometrics appointment so quickly. It was, however, the only slot available. Must have been very fortunate to get a cancellation.

The government site was surprisingly good: clear and responsive and easy to understand; much better than the old paper/pdf applications. The UKVCAS site was quite bad: lots of wordy sales spiel, the upload categories don't make much sense to SET(M), and there's no "complete" or "submit" button for when you've finished uploading so it all feels a bit tentative and unfinished. The £2 SMS service is worth it though.
