How to get my wife into US, both currently living in EU

Post by jman0warS » Tue Sep 30, 2008 10:13 pm

I'm a US national by birth and my wife is Irish.
We both live in Ireland and we are interested in moving to USA.
What would be the best way to do this, get her a work visa?
I've looked at the I-130 form and it seems to assume that I should be residing in the US when i file it?

According to the US Embassy Dublin website, they seem to now allow Direct Consular Filing (DCF). Have a look here.

How long have you lived in Ireland? Would you like to get Irish citizenship before you leave?

So, we are going to send in the I-130 form, and it looks like you also need to include the G-325a Biographical form, but do you also send in the Affidavit of Support one at the same time?
