Apply for extension

Hi

I am on Tier-2 skilled worker visa, and in June my BRP will expire, I want to apply for extension but wanted to know do I needed to have a new Certificate of Sponsorship number ( COS ) or will my employer is suppose to generate a new one and I also how early I am suppose to apply for extension ?

Apart from COS do I needed anything else for extension ? like payslips etc.

I think you can apply 60 days before your current visa expires and you will need a new COS so your employer needs to generate a new one now. It won't have to go through the allocation meeting like the first COS so your employer can simply assign one COS from SMS. I think you need to attach the 3 latest payslips but I am not sure you need to show the maintenance funds for you or your dependents if any.

If COS states Yes to your maintenance, then you don't need to provide bank statement for maintenance proof.

My visa is expiring in mid June 2021, I just wanted to know when shall I apply for extension ? I am reading over internet its very confusing, few are saying I can apply up to 60 days before visa expiration ? What does this mean "Up to" Can I apply earlier than 60 day or do I have to apply exactly on 60 days ?

Thanksyou, but can you please let me know when shall I apply for the extension ? is it EXACT 60 days or can I apply early ? My visa is expiring on 15 June 2021.
