Hi Guys,
My wife is about to submit her application.
She's unsure of a few things
1/ which pages of the passport should she scan?
2/ what documents can support "evidence of freedom from immigration time restrictions" ?
3/ the auto generated list of required documents includes "You must have a permanent residence card before you can apply for citizenship". She has never had a permanent residency card as she goes the Settled Status route.
Should it be a Settled Status confirmation letter for that?
4/ „Evidence that you have been in the UK lawfully for your 3 or 5 year qualifying residence period. This should be evidence that you were here as a worker, student, self-employed, self-sufficient, retired or incapacitated person”
Her qualifying period is March 2016 to March 2021.
She was looking after our child for the most of that period.
I was the only one supporting the family.
Therefore she didn't work in the following periods:
- September 2016 - January 2020
- April 2020 - March 2021.
Basically she didn't work for the most of her qualifying period.
She doesn't fall in student, self-employed, retired or incapacitated person category either.
The only category that fits in is the self-sufficient one.
However she wasn't aware of the CSI requirement and she didn't have it.
Is her application likely to be rejected because of the above?
Is there anything she can do to improve her position on that requirement?
We don't wanna loose money if the case is hopeless.
5/ "Proof of living in the UK" - are council tax bills enough proof?
The other documents she's got:
- NHS medical consultant visit invitations
- medical test results from NHS
- GP registration confirmation
- English Speaking Board – ESB Level 2 Award in ESOL Skills certificate
- ESOL course student card
- DBS check
- tax calculation from HMRC
- child benefit confirmation
- from Electoral services
- various council documents
6/ should she attach employment documents for just 5 years period or 10 years?
We would appreciate clarifying answers
