if ur refused a student visa extention and you appeal, how long does the process take? and can u stay in the UK during that time? if so, will you be considered as an overstayer?? or will they send you home and ask you to appeal from there ?

Appeal will take six months +
You can stay on in the UK pending outcome. That is under section 3c.

You are not an overstayer. If the appeal is refused and you do not leave within 28 days you would be.
I think in country appeals are taking less time at the moment. So there is every chance you will get a hearing in about three to four months in the London area and a bit quicker in the regions.
