what would be the Last day of Previous Earning?

what would be the Last day of Previous Earning?

HI,
I am little confused about exchange rate for the previous earning.

Salary comes into my account on 7th or 8th of every month. Now I am going to file my case on 23 Oct 2008.

My September month salary will be transfered to my account on 7th Oct 2008.

Which exhange rate whould be applicable to my Previous earning.

Is it 30 Sep 2008 Or 7 Oct 2008?
