British citizenship application for family

Post by f.namxe » Fri Mar 12, 2021 11:49 am

Hello, I got ILR in Jan 2020 with my husband and 2 kids. We're now completing the application for citizenship. I have two referees who are British citizens. I wanted to find out if those two referees can also act as referees for my husband and kids as well or do we need to find other referees for each applicant.

With regards to the documents for submission, are we okay to submit P60s and council tax bills as proof of living in the UK for 5 years?

Thanks admins for your help.

If you add all applicants to your form, you can use the same referees. One must be a professional from the ukvi list of accepted professionals.

You only need passports to prove residence, nothing else.

Thank you so much. That's very helpful

I have a speeding penalty which was spent in 2016. Do I need to declare it on my application?

Thanks

For kids (below 18) one referee has to be someone who has professionally engaged with the child.

What was it? FPN? Courts summon? Details?

Thanks @Cullinan.

It was a speeding offence for my husband (35mph in a 30mph zone) but I got a court summons because the car was registered to me and he was not on the insurance.
So I got a fine from the court and license revoked as I got 6 points happened within 2 yrs of getting my license.

Husband has also got 2 CCJs which we were not aware of due to moving houses and letters went to old address. Only came up during mortgage application and have been satisfied. We didn't mention them in previous applications but wondering if we need to declare them now.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Declare it as it is a criminal conviction. For Naturalisation no criminal conviction is considered spent so must be declared. Since it is older than 3 years, it will have NO impact on your application

Declare these. Add evidence that CCJ are satisfied. He will be okay.
