Referee

Post by RPS1210 » Fri Mar 05, 2021 9:27 pm

Hello,

I need some guidance please.

With the referee, the guidance states that the person should not be a relative. Is my sister’s mother-in-law considered as a relative?

Thank you

You cannot use anyone who is related to you by blood or through the marriage line.

Find another referee.

Naturalisation Application

Post by RPS1210 » Mon Mar 22, 2021 1:27 pm

Hello, quick question please.

Do we need to sign a Consent for the Home Office to Verify Application Information form for Naturalisation application?

Thank you for any insight!

I think this consent form is must for ILR and FLR applications, for naturalisation I have never seen any consent form on document list or end of application.

The online form would definitely have a line about giving HO consent, otherwise HO would not have authority to make checks etc about applicants. The paper form clearly has this, part 7 on page 27 & 28, the online form would have something very similar too.

I was wondering the same thing. So is it just downloadable on the gov.uk website? As it was not included in the mandatory and optional actions at the end of my online application. It only provided links to download the completed application form, supporting documents and two referee declaration forms.

There is likely a tick box in the online form that you were required to tick consenting.

Thank you. Yes, I checked the paper application form and completed the declaration part of the online application.
