Hi - Can the moderators please advise if there is a requirement to be physically present in the UK on the exact date of completion of 10 year residence? For e.g. if my 10 year period start date is 24th April 2011, Do I have to be in UK on 24th 2021?
Due to some personal situation, I might be out of UK on that day and will apply on return mostly by first week of May 2021. The start date being 24th April 2011 ofcourse.
Thanks

Thank you. So I can apply once I come back to UK in the first week of May'21 and specify the 10 year start date as 24th April 2020?
I satisfy all other criteria's for e.g. less than 540 days and no break of more than 180 days.

Presumably you mean 2011??
UKVI know the rules. You simply need to meet all the requirements. There is no 'physically present at the start of the qualifying period' for Set LR.

Sorry yes, Typo Specify the start date as 24th April 2011.
Did you mean there is no rule to be present in the UK at the end of 10 year qualifying period i.e. 24th April 2021?
I will be out of UK for the whole month of April'21 but saying that I will still submit the application once I come back to UK on 1st May.
All looks okay?
Thanks
G

There is NO such rule. Not sure why you believe there is. Obviously you have to be in the UK to apply.

I was bit carried away with the naturalization rule - to be present in UK 5 years before the application date. I just wanted to confirm that there is nothing as such or similar for ILR LR.
I am clear now. Thank you. Much appreciated.

Hi - I received a Penalty charge notice from local council/transport of London for using a part of the route restricted to the local buses. Does this need to be declared in the ILR form under the driving offence section?

Thank you Zimba - understood that it has no effect. Did you mean declare it in the form and but it will have no effect in the outcome? Or dont declare it in the form?
