How long Stay one can have after Finishing the Study?

Hi guyz,

just got a question as i have finished my Msc by 20 June 2008. and my Visa is going to expire in 31 Jan 2009

as i heard that one can stay 4 month after finishing the study .

i just wanted to know as my 4 month will bi finishing in 15 days by 20 Oct 2008

i am making my documents to apply for Tier 1 (General) BUT if in case for some reason if i will be unable to submit my application within this
era so would that be any problem for me? if i apply after 4 months?

i will appriciate when someone will reply if he can give any link of any official website as i am worried :S

It suggests one month before your leave expires.

there will be no problem. i have never read or heard anywhere that u need to leave UK 4 months after u finish ur course. this 4 months limit is for working after ur course finishes not for ur stay in the country, by law u can stay still the end of ur leave but cant work. so u can have holiday and stuff but cant work after the 4 months of the course completion date.

u can make ur application anytime before 31/01/09. Hope this helps
