Application form for naturalisation

Post by Alan34 » Tue Mar 30, 2021 8:58 pm

Hi,

I got my ILR two months ago. My husband is a British citizen. So 1) Can I apply for naturalisation immediately or need to wait for one year?
2) which application form I have to use?
3) I didn't remember employment dates. I have seen employment history request form from hmrc. Can I use it? But it says to use that form in case of claims
4) For my previous applications, I didn't remember biometric submitted dates. So how can I get that information
5) Currently I'm on maternity leave and getting paid £150 per week. But tax is not getting deducted. Do I need to check with my hr/payroll team? Will it effect my application if tax not paid on SMP?

Please advise on above
Many thanks in advance

1) Immediately as long you meet all other requirements.
2) Form AN
3) Dates are “if known question.” Provide estimates or leave blank.
4) Provide estimates or leave it blank (if known question).
5) Does not matter. Your employment is not a criteria for AN application. You could even be unemployed does not matter.

Many thanks for responding
I have few more doubts.
1) In application, it is asking for my husband's naturalisation received date. But we don't have exact date. Roughly month and year known
2) Do I have to submit mine and my husband's bank statements as well as employment reference letters

Please advise me on above
Thanks

1) yes - but the date is on the certificate - do you still have that?
2) No - there are no financial requirements for naturalisation.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Thanks for responding.

Also in the documents section, it mentioned 2 referee declarations. What does it mean?
I gave 2 referee details in the application.
Getting confused whether I need to download any paper forms and get it signed? If so, where can I get declaration form

Please advise me on above

Thanks in advance

The referee forms can be downloaded once you have submitted the application - the referees will sign them and you scan and upload with your other documents.

Will the referees also get an email as application asked for referee email address?

No, they do not get an email.
I actually forgot one important thing regarding previous applications.
Before I got ILR, I applied for visa extension. initially I filled and submitted online application. Later realised some information was wrong on it and so I withdrawn that application. And later submitted another application.
1) Do I have to mention about withdrawn application( I didn't attend for biometrics for withdrawn application)
2) if I have to mention about it, can I explain in cover letter
3) Although employment doesn't matter with AN application, please clarify this. I didn't mention about self employment. I only mentioned about other employments as I didn't get an option to mention self employment details. Can I explain in cover letter?
I worry that it may reflect on good character as they may think I'm hiding information.

Many thanks in advance
