reference number on entry clearance or visa - T1 Q. D4

Hello, I have a doubt regrading what should be the answer to the following question D4 in the T1 Gen form:


D4. Please enter the reference number on the entry clearance or visa within the applicant’s passport or travel document.

Is this the number in the Red Font on the top right hand corner of the visa sticker or the VAF ref no. which is printed in the black printer ink on the visa sticker.

I have a work permit visa at the moment.

Just wan't to make sure that which number it is.

shouldn't it be the vaf no? I always thought that numbers in red were serial number for the sticker itself
