ILR

Post by Hope2007 » Mon Oct 06, 2008 9:01 pm

Hi,

Any chance could you tell us what were the docs you had submitted?
One of my friend is under old HSMP rules and her hsmp visa expires in 2010.

when u apply after 5 years, is there any min salary for hsmp holders when they apply for ILR ?
Do they have to prove that they are on permanent job at the time of applying ?

my friend , as she has a baby, cant do full time and she does work 2 or 3 days a week(part time job)? would it cause any issue ?

Thanks for ur help,

hi,

we actually took all the documents for 5 years but the ground floor person actually checked these,

1. passports
2. life in the uk test
3. bank statements for last 3 months.
we gave our pay slips for last 5,6 months and employer letter ourself. he just asked about my current employer and my role in the company in very friendly manner. my employer doesn't mention about permenent job as I have a contract till 2010(which was my current HSMP expiry year)
he didn't even ask about that and not about my salary either.

He then took my passports for some'checks' (dont have any idea what was that) and asked us to pay and then wait for actual application.

we paid and waited for 10 min and case worker called our token number.
we went to that particular case worker (A very nice lady, very friendly and polite) took our passports checked our current visas, life in the uk test result, some bank statements and thats it. She photocopied them and came back to us saying that we have been granted ILR and now we have to wait for 45 min for our passports.
she didn't ask us for any payslips, any p-60s not all of the bank statements, and that was it.
she did explain ILR rules( we are eligible for benefits, we are not allowed to go out of the country for more than two years etc...)

we reached there around 9:30 and we were out by 11:30 with our passports.

now back to your queries.
there is no limit for salary as long you are working that should be fine.
I am not very sure about this part time job issue but obviously your friend has to satisfy them how she is maintaning herself.
from my experience I can tell that they dont check for permenent job.
it probably depends on the case worker as well.

good luck
