HSMP and Business visitor visa

Do I need a business visior visa to travel for business / company meeting even if I already have HSMP visa?

can I have two type of visa at the same time- I mean HSMP and Business visitor ?

From what I have heard,
If you have already got your EC approved under HSMP (i.e. visa has been stamped in your passport), you cant apply for another kind of visa. You can have only one kind of visa at any time.

My case is different.
I have a HSMP approval letter valid till Feb 09. I will apply for EC under tier 1 (transitional arrangement) in Jan 2009.

I want to visit UK now for few days. I wonder if I can apply for a visitor visa now and will this application affect my tier 1 EC later?

Hi, My HSMP approval letter is also valid till 27th dec since it was issued on june 27, 2008 and I will be back to India from Business visit on 13th or 14th dec.. so I will have few days left to apply for EC under tier 1.

any update or suggestions please? will it be better to apply afterwards? I called vfs and they said that i can have only one type of visa at a time.
