Profession Referee-teaching assistant

Post by msaleemu » Tue May 04, 2021 10:02 am

Dear All

I hope you ok.

Can I use details of a teaching assistant as a professional Referee for naturalization application?.

I can see that teacher are in approved Referee List but I am not sure that teaching assistant and teacher both details can be used as a profession referee?

Thank you

assuming your question is about the naturalisation of an adult, I don't believe a teaching assistant is a person of "professional standing".

You are right, medical doctors are not on the the list. I assumed they were (without checking). As they are members of professional bodies and other medical professionals such as dentists, chiropodists, nurses and opticians are on the Feb 2021 list I wonder why doctors are not. Is this perhaps an omission?

Drs were removed due to extremely high volume of referee requests when drs have more important things to be doing. Drs also use to charge around £50 to do it.
