Tire 2 COS concern

Hello All,

I have been issued Tier 2 COS and the Entry clearance visa back in March 2020. But due to COVID 19 concern, I was not able to travel. When the COS was issued, my country of residence was Malaysia. But due to personal reasons, I was transferred to India within the same organization. Now my company wants to re-start the process. So to reapply for an entry clearance visa using the same COS, do I have to be physically present in Malaysia or I can apply from India as well?

You cannot use the same CoS twice. You will need a new CoS and pay the visa fees and IHS fees again.

You can apply from any country where you have legal residence (i.e. not in a country as a visitor).

Thanks for the reply. I have been already granted an entry clearance visa and the entry clearance visa has been expired. So do I need to apply for new COS or only the entry clearance visa? If only entry clearance visa, do I need to apply from Malaysia or I can apply from India as well?

This is what you said. This is not the same and applying for a replacement visa vignette. You would likely have to apply from Malaysia as that is where you applied and your file would be.
