Set M timeline consistency

Post by bailen10 » Tue May 11, 2021 11:09 pm

Hello all,

Seems from looking at the timeline thread, ILR SetM processing time looks to be around the 5 months mark, best case scenario. Does that seem to be most people’s experiences? Wondering as I am 3 months in to waiting for decision on an application submitted in early February 2021, and wondering if any hope exists at all of anything sooner if I should just put it to the back of my mind until month 5 (July/August).

Have already seen that once biometrics are enrolled there’s no going back or speeding up/upgrading for a set m application, so thanks in advance previous posts for answering that. (Correct me if I’m wrong there)

Any guidance much appreciated thank you!

The average time taken from submission of application over the past two months for standard Set M, based on the timelines, is 5 months, 11 days. From time of submission of biometrics, the average has been 4 months, 21 days, but it seems to be based on time of application rather than biometrics, because there is more variation from time of biometrics.

The shortest reported time from application in the past couple of months was 4 months, 13 days and the longest was 7 months, 7 days, but those are outliers, or perhaps data entry mistakes.

You can use this web page to add 5 months and 11 days to your application date for a guess:

Much obliged thank you. Just helpful to have a scale to work with that isnt simply “6 months”!

Yes, it's all based on standard Set M timelines. I got tired of calculating the latest in my head each time someone posted so I made a script to show date of application, date of biometric submission and date of decision from users' posts. It calculates the time between the events, then average and mean times.

Some days it looks like they're taking them out of the queue of applications as they came in.

I'm in a similar situation, could only apply on standard service at the time of application (March). Is there any way to upgrade to the priority service now to expedite?

Thanks
