Correct Documentation for my new born baby

Post by chiran » Thu May 20, 2021 6:17 pm

Hi All,

Today, I am blessed with baby boy. Now I need to bring my child to UK from India,

Q1) Which passport I must apply now, Its British passport or Indian Passport?

Currently I am holding ILR (Expiry 2025 December) and my wife is on tier 2 dependent which is going to be expire on 2023 April

Q2) If its Indian passport, which visa I would have to apply for my son?

Also, could you please share some useful links to refer this case

Thank you

Q1. Your child is not British so cannot apply for a British passport. Your child is only an Indian citizen.

Q2. PBS dependent visa

Hi Chiran,

Did you apply for the visa. Could you please let me know the documentation required.

I am in similar situation (me in ILR + partner in PBS Dependant + partner and newborn in India). It would be helpful if you respond.

Thanks

Thanks CR001,

Based on the last employee COS letter, do we have to apply new visa under PBS system to my baby boy (who born in India)?

If yes, my last working day as per the employee cos letter expired on 16 February 2020.

how can i use this old COS to my baby boy new visa(to enter into the UK now)?

My wife visa(PBS Tier 2 dependent) expiring on Feb 2023, Can i except same visa end date for my son too ?
