Documents required: naturalisation certificate and current & expired passport(s).
Identity Referee: just one required, can be a previous referee, you need to provide his/her email address.
Note: documents must be submitted in original only.

BRP Card Return

Post by abacus123 » Sat May 22, 2021 11:01 am

Hi, I received my naturalisation certificate on 5 April 2021. Now I friend of mine told me that you didn’t return the Brp card within 5 working days and there will be a fine of £1000. Is there any way to avoid fine. Please reply back.
Kind Regards,
Abacus

There have been no reports of members being fined for not returning BRP or returning it late.
Do you have children who are British, based an your ILR status at the time?

Reason for asking was if child was born in the UK when you had ILR s/he would have been British automatically. The BRP card is the only document that proves your status and it is recommended in this case to either retain the BRP or retain a certified copy of it. But doesn't seem to apply in your case.
