Travelling in the UE with IRP Stamp 4 only

Hi people,

Has anyone traveled within Europe showing an IRP with a stamp 4 only, not Eu Fam?
My partner applied for permanent residency more than 1 year ago but the application is still pending.

We will be traveling together in August to Italy.

Her IRP card was temporarily renewed but with a STAMP 4 only, not EU FAM.
Anyone who attempted this and got refused boarding from the airline?

I know for sure that in Italy she won t have any issues with passport controls, but Ryanair concerns me quite a bit.

Knowing Ryanair, I'd strongly suggest that your partner get a regular schengen visa.
If you are married, a visa will be issued for free and very quickly.

Yeah we re not married, we applied in 2015 as a de facto couple and she got 5 years Stamp 4 EU Fam, now it is taking a so much time to get the permanent residency card.

The Italian embassy is a worse nightmare than Ryanair, I guess we will see at the airport.
