Regarding ILR expiry date

Post by Kabira118 » Thu Jun 17, 2021 3:41 pm

Hi All,
hope you all doing good. I have some queries regarding tier 2 general dependent visa extension.
Recently I got ILR but the validity date is 31-12-2024. has anyone knows about it?

TIA

ILR status does NOT expire, only the card does. All BRP cards will be updated after 2024 to a new card type. If you still hold ILR status by 2024 (e.g you choose not to become a British citizen), you will then simply apply for a card replacement

Thanks Zimba for prompt and details info.

in my ILR BRP, place of birth is not printed completely. it got printed as "Maharash" instead of "Maharashtra". Is this issue? Should I need to contact Home office for that?

TIA

Not an issue. Probably a character space limit on the card. I suggest to ignore it
