EC Applicants from India (Under Transitional Arrangements)

Dear Friends,

I have searched through the whole forum but did not find a topic with the subject as above. Hence creating a new topic.

I applied for HSMP first step approval on 18th March, 2008 and got my approval on 14th July, 2008.

I am planning to apply for EC in the first week of November, 2008. I have maintained the required sum of 2800 GBP in my account for 3 months, October being the last month.

Please guide me with your comments for the following doubts that I have.

1. As I now possess the approval letter, do I have to only provide proof for the Maintenance funds at the time of applying for EC?

2. Do we need to submit any other documents which I have submitted for first step of approval ? Please summarize.

3. When I apply for EC, do I also have to submit my passport along with the EC application or do I need to provide it at a later stage?

4. Last, but the most important one, which application form should I refer to when applying for EC? Please share it or guide me with an URL from where I can download.

Please do let me know. Those who are applying for EC in Oct/Nov please help.

Hi ,
you need to filll VAF9 form with suitable appendix form (Appendex1 for tier 1 general ).

also submit all the document that you submitted for HSMP application .

also
1. HSMP Approval Letter.
2. 15 months bank statment
3. 12 month pay slips
4. edu certificates
5. proof of accommdation
6. IT returns for 3 Yrs
7. employment offer in UK (optional)
8. Experenience Letter from current & Previous employee )

9. one copy of all the above docs.

Hi Srini,

I am applying for EC under transitional arrangements. The guidance notes does not say to submit so many documents.

I mean is it necessary to provide degree cert, IT returns experience letters etc etc.

Also why do we need to submit payslips for 12 months and simillarly why do we need bank statements for 15 months.

As far as i know the guidance notes says bank statement for previous 3 months.

Please help me with your answers.
