Hi,
I am going apply UC and will add my wife and 2 kids, please clarify some of the points,
1- My wife she got ILR approval email but NOT received BRP yet even after 10 working days, is she eligible for the benefits?
2- She Don’t have NI number, she will apply as soon as she get her ILR BRP, can they decline UC just because she don’t have NI?
Thank you
1. If she has been granted ILR, then she can have Public Funds.
2. It's an online form and we can't see it, but you must apply as partners anyway, even if you could have public funds and she could not. The claim cannot be backdated

She will need a NINo anyway as both parents have to work; unless there is an exemption, or you earn her required weekly earnings too as well as your own.

If you are still self employed, be aware that the MIF (Minimum Income Floor) that the goverment put on hold due to covid, will start again soon.

The extra £20 a week added due to covid, will also end soon.
