Apparently, the two departments, EUSS and UKVI, aren't connected database wise. So EUSS knows I have status, but UKVI doesn't. Complaining doesn't help as they never reply. I sent an email to my MP.vinny wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 11:41 amIf they can confirm that you have status, then they know their letter was mistaken. I’m surprised why they couldn’t update their records themselves without needing you to call a number?
Take a screenshot of your status for your records.
Try complaining?
I don't know, it's what the EUSS Resolution Centre told me, that they made an error and sent the letters out.
It's fine being a "normal immigrant" but I've known a good few immigrants back in Austria and besides having to go through bureaucracy to apply, they never had any issues, database errors or threatening letters.alterhase58 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 21, 2021 8:54 amThis kind of thing has been expected - part of Immigration Enforcement. Very unprofessional to say the least. EU citizens must realise they now count as "normal" immigrants. EUSS give a few advantages over others but nevertheless it's part of the UK immigration rule book.
Where as other migrant are in the UK at the mercy of the Home Office, the rights of EU migrant is controlled by the Withdrawal Agreement, which is an international treaty. Therefore EU migrant must not allow themselves to feel victimised, as their presence is controlled by EU treaty.alterhase58 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 21, 2021 8:54 amThis kind of thing has been expected - part of Immigration Enforcement. The EU treaty as part of the NI protocol the government has threatened to shred? Doubt it holds much weight. The government doesn’t respect it and others are weary to enter into any agreement with us. Shameful really.Obie wrote: ↑Sat Aug 21, 2021 11:32 amWhere as other migrant are in the UK at the mercy of the Home Office, the rights of EU migrant is controlled by the Withdrawal Agreement, which is an international treaty.
