Has anyone been to Homeoffice for ILR on 5 years basis and knows how many days are allowed is it 225 or 180 as absences.

Has anyone been to Homeoffice for ILR on 5 years basis and knows how many days are allowed is it 225 or 180 as absences.

number of allowed days away from the UK is not set in stone. There are guidelines for the case worker that used to be 180 days but some say it has been updated to 225 though this was not advertised by the HO. Going through this forum and other forums reveal that some people got their ILR with 225+ and some had problems.

Generally, if you keep the following (in importance order), you should be safe
- no single absences over 90 days
- under 180 days away from the UK in the 5 years of WP/HSMP
- no more than 90 days absent per year

I haven't heard of a case rejected because of absences and meeting the above. In other cases you're at the mercy of the case worker. That's all we know.
