How soon we need to travel after visit visa is granted?

Hi,

I wanted to ask how soon one needs to travel to UK once the visit visa is granted? Is there any cut-off time for you to travel, otherwise the visa is curtailed?

Travel at any time within the visa validity dates.

The visa is not curtailed if you delay traveling!! Why would you think that?

My brother in law wanted to Apply for visit visa in September, however wanted to delay his travel for another three four months (his visa would be valid for 2 years). However one of the family members told him you have to travel within a certain timeframe after getting visa and cannot delay the travel. So that's why wanted to confirm.
