Hi Neeraj,

This is kandasamy Damodaran.
I am planning to apply for Tier 1 application by 10 of Oct.
I am having a doubt.
I have request a salary certificate from my employer and they agreed to give it, but it is in PDF scan copied. When I asked for the original copy they told me that as per the company policy they won't give any certificate in the letter head. so I would like to know that this scan copy they will accept or not.

Regards
Kandasamy

Regards,
hi guys,

got my Tier-1 visa yesterday, stamped for three years, feels good :D
would like to thank ppl in this forum for all the help. this is a great place for applicants.

My details are given below:

Applied: 11th Aug 2008 at VFS, Mumbai South
Points claimed for attributes: Salary 45 + Qualification 30 = 75 only
(as my MBA college was not on calculator and while I had applied for NARIC assesment, it was taking time. In fact, I haven't got NARIC letter till date  )
Integra Verification: My company got a call asking whether I work there or not, on 18th Aug
VISA stamped date: 10th Sep (took 19 working days) :D

Documents submitted:
Education:
1) Graduation degree and marksheets
2) MBA degree and marksheets (even though was not claiming points)

Salary
1) Stamped and signed slips
2) Bank statement showing credits
3) Income tax returns
4) Salary certificate from company mentioning last 12 month salary details

English Language:
my graduation university (University of Indore) was on the NARIC database points calculator

Maintenance funds:
I had 5000 GBP equivalent lying in a savings account (not salary account) for a long time. Gave that statement and also a letter from the bank stating the minimum balance

I also submitted some other documents to make my application stronger, as suggested by ppl in the forum. There include:
1. My resume
2. All prior work experience certificates
3. My job potential in UK (gave a write-up and gave print outs of e-mails that I have exchanged with some potential employers, even though I haven't got an offer yet)
4. Accomodation proof (hotel reservation in London for 10 days)
5. Print out of calculator on-line assesment
6. Marriage certificate

Out of the above, 2), 4), 5) and 6) were also advised by VFS. I think one should call VFS helpline and discuss list of documents needed, that is very helpful.

Also, made each section separate with separate cover letters.

Will be glad to help anyone else ..

Meanwhile, focussing on my job search ..

Bye

Hi,

I am planning to apply on 10 Oct 2008 from VFS Bangalore. Could you please what are things to be consider before applying the application.

Regards
Kandasamy
Hi Ganeshji
I made a fresh Tier-1 General Application on 21/Aug/2008 from VFS Bangalore. When contacted with VFS on 15th,Sep they said that Integra Verification Reports have reached BHC. The recent status as on today is that "We cant give you an approximate/exact time frame for a decision to be made".
Also not confirming at least whether a Case Worker has taken up my Case or not. The BHC is very tight-fisted in sharing any info. on the status
I am hoping that I would receive my Docs around first/second week of October as there are 2 holidays in first 10 days of October.
Post by vijayvvd » Thu Sep 25, 2008 10:04 pm

Hi Guys,
I got a problem , My tier 1 application is stil under consideration 8th August.

Due to maintenace fund availability ...I sent application for myself and my wife only.... However my 2 year old kid's application was not sent.

The Wp and dependant visa will be expiring on 30th Sept, mean my kid's visa is expiring..I have not applied him as TIER1 dependant.

Now what do I DO?

Can I apply for my kid as dependant even if my application is stil under consideration (quoting the reference number of my application ) and paying appropriate fees.
Now I have sufficient balance to cover all 3 of us.

Any procedurial conmfirmation on this.

please help me

Tier 1 approved

Post by birdy1980 » Sat Oct 18, 2008 1:13 am

Hi all

Applied for Tier 1 from within UK on 27 August 2008.
Claimed 100 points for earning + age + degree + UK experience
Satisfied english language requirement automatically as I had passed from University of mumbai.
Maintenance fund requirement satisfied as well.

Payment deducted from credit card on 29 august 2008.

Documents received : 18-October-2008
Extension till October 2011

Category: Work permit to TIER 1

I had claimed 20 points for my age(27) but surprisingly they gave me zero points. No reason was specified as to why my age was not awarded points even though I had obviously included my original passport as age proof

I was awarded 80 points as a result. Thank god anyway I got it approved.

Thanks a lot to this site. Really helped me a lot to understand the general trend of how much time it takes for a Tier 1 to be approved.

Good luck to all you people! If your documents are perfect and in place, no need to worry. I am so relieved now :)

My WP to Tier 1 not approved.

Reason:
1)Icici statements not acceptable, (genaerally received every month over email.....having proper logo etc).====they think it should accompany a letter from bank
2) Maintenace fund....not satsfied.....I think he did not look at my evidence properly here.

Anything I can do now?
My wp visa already expired, will apeal work?
What's suggestion
