6 months payslips should suffice.hashtxt1 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 4:33 pmHi
This forum has helped me quite a bit, hoping someone has a bit of info about this.
I'm an ILR holder and my wife is in India. I am an IT contractor, I used to work via my limited company but since 22nd March 2021 working via an umbrella due to IR35.
I'm planning to apply for her spouse visa in 1st week of October (so that I can complete 6 months with Umbrella). My hope was to make the application via Category A - Non salaried for financial requirement. Trying to keep it simpler
The application form is currently asking the payslips for last 12 months, instead of 6.
Exact words from the form:
I will provide all of the following documents as evidence:
- Payslips covering any period of salaried employment (current and previous) in the period of 12 months prior to the date of application
But since I was (still is) the director of the ltd company do I need to show CAT F for 6 months prior to the umbrella tenure?
Many Thanks
Even if you are earning a variable income, you can still qualify under CAT A as long as you have been employed for 6 months at least otherwise you can still qualify under CAT B if you can satisfy both of its conditions.hashtxt1 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 15, 2021 10:13 pmThanks for your response TODMATT
I think the application is treating me (sponsor) via CAT B instead of CAT A. On the address bar of the website it says: https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... EmploymentEvidenceCatB
On the question: Have they been employed by the same employer for the last 6 months prior to the date of application? - YES
What do they earn?
I selected: Not the same amount continuously, above the financial requirement amount
Since my umbrella company pays me variable amount based on the days/hours I work. Does this change anything? or do 6 months payslip is still OK?
Again, apologies if I'm overthinking the whole thing.
Thanks for you help
Hi TODMATT when you said both conditions in my case that would be :

1. Payslips, letter etc from Umbrella company upto 6 months.
2. Payslips from Ltd company. But in this case shouldnt I show evidence according to CAT F for the remaining 6 months??
As it's really my company and an employment letter from my company to myself could be considered in appropriate evidence for CAT B ?
Thanks
All you listed above I'd correct. That of explanation also seems to be in line.hashtxt1 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 11:35 amHi All
Firstly, thanks to all the members for making this place incredibly helpful! I have learned a lot from here.
My Mrs is applying for spouse visa from India. I am about to complete my house purchase by end of October (fingers crossed!), this will be our residence on the application form. Could someone please point out what documents are needed to prove accommodation requirement? These are what I have in mind:
- Title Deeds
- Stamp duty receipt
- Mortgage offer letter from bank
Anything else?
Also, The current landlord is a close friend and as I was already in the process of buying the property. I have been staying at this same address for almost a year now as a guest. So all my documents (bank statement, employer's letter etc) have the same address. Is there any explanation I need to give in the cover letter regarding this? Maybe add a letter from the current house owner explaining why I have the same address before I bought the property.
Thanks
