Question about earnings

Hi everyone,

My wife is hoping to apply for a Tier 1 visa. She has a couple of questions about the way in which earnings are calculated.

The first one is: She is working in Egypt for the Egyptian branch of an organisation based in Malaysia. She receives her salary from Egypt and was hired directly by the Egypt office. Should she use the Malaysian or the Egyptian salary multiplier?

Second: She is wondering what benefits she can count under her earnings. Her employer pays for her flat (they directly pay the landlord, rather than reimbursing her), and also provides health insurance. Can she count the rent and insurance as earnings? What sort of evidence does she need to provide? Apparently the rent contract is in Arabic--would she need to provide a letter from the landlord in Egypt or something similar?
