So we got an inflation salary increase this month but it’s retrospective, from August 2021 due to trade union negotiation delays. So the September payslip will include the August increment too (ie will be a bit of an unusual payslip). Does this matter at all? Is it worth explaining this in the employer letter and/or a cover letter?

Also electronic payslips downloaded from the HR website no longer need to be signed/verified etc?

You are overthinking everything. The letter is enough. Electronic evidence is accepted

Hopefully a final question -

I came to the U.K. for a few days in December 2007 on a visitor visa to attend a university admissions interview. I am now applying for ILR.

Do I need to provide a photocopy of the 2003-2007 passport?

My student visa (on which I came to U.K. to study once admitted) was in a later passport, issued Jan 2008. My ILR application is based on past 5 years on Tier 2.

Is it certain that I don’t need to verify a printout of my payslip? My employer has stamped it but it’s just a printout.
I remember there used to be a requirement to provide verification letters for printouts - has this been changed?

Applications have become electronic and a lot of allowances come in. The pay slip will be accepted and should there be need for checks, the due diligence will be done by HO.

Thanks. They printed the payslip and signed and stamped it for me so hopefully all ready to go.

HSBC have printed me a temporary statement (plain no letterhead) so I can show the salary coming in two days ago to avoid waiting 3 weeks for the next official statement. They’ve given me a visa letter as well on letterhead to go with it.

Is this enough?

Also the absences letter from my previous employer was issued to me in 2018 - is this ok? I don’t think it needs to be within 28 days if applying right?

As per feedbacks here, scanning all pages or only biodata
and pages with travel history results in positive decision.

Hi all, ILR received. A huge thank you to everyone who advised and to this forum in general.

I had a reasonably straightforward application but small quirks such as changes of name and remote working abroad. If anyone has any questions I’m happy to answer.
