Does anyone know the email address from which a notification will be sent? I am 3.5 month into my waiting time, for which i believe is a simple and straight forward EU Naturalisation....
Can't help you with the email address, but just a comment, you are quite early expecting a reply ... however you could try this email address:
NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk - the "normal" service level is 6 months, sometimes faster or even longer than that.
There's only one type of naturalisation for all nationalities and what we would consider a straight forward application probably doesn't fit into how UKVI Nationality Directorate work ....
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Hi guys
My mum applied at the same time as me. I had my citizenship ceremony and even got my passport. But, she hasn't heard anything. She emailed FE enquiries and they only replied that it will take longer than 6 months.
What's going on ?

Each applicant is assessed and processed individually. Just because you were approved and had you ceremony, doesn't mean she automatically gets it too.
She simply needs to wait to hear back and yes, it can take more than 6 months.

Hi Everyone,
I made naturalisation application on 19th Sep but never received an acknowledgement email. My biometrics are booked for 11th Oct.
I was looking on timeline thread and noticed that most people confirmed that they received acknowledgement email on the application date and few days after that date.
Is there anyone who didn't receive acknowledgement email?
Thanks

Ta.
She has her own Ltd company and is the Director of that company and also owns two houses. Could these be the reason why it is taking longer ?

Could any member please share format of acknowledgement email?
I'm getting worried why I didn't receive an acknowledgement email whereas all other members in timeline thread confirmed that they received acknowledgement email on the application date or few days after that date.

The only thing received after a submission of application was from UKVCAS.
"We are delighted to confirm that the supporting information for your visa application has been submitted to UKVI.
All updates about your application will come from UKVI directly and NOT from UKVCAS. You can find details about UKVI’s timescales for processing your application here
UKVI will be in touch directly if they need any additional information from you and to let you know their decision about your application."
Does home office send another e-mail when they start processing your application?

Naturalisation is not a visa application .....
For the AN application the next communication is normally the decision letter - UKVI don't normally give you updates on progress - as per that email they may contact you if they need further information.

I just received an invite to a survey from UKVI... while I am still waiting for a decision. Is this somehow connected or pure coincidence?
Edit: Just started the survey and 2nd question was if i received a decision in the last 3 month... I clicked 'No'.... Thank you taking part in the survey... LOL

For some reason ceremony is booked for January 2022(Birmingham council). Anyone else had to wait so long for ceremony?

UKVI Survey email is normally received once a decision has been made. You should get your decision via email or post depending on when you applied / your UAN number in the next few weeks. I've received mine 4 weeks after the survey email.

Interesting and now getting a bit nervous. I am almost 4 weeks into my application, hence would like to think it wont take too long anymore...

They seem to be processing applications quicker now compared to January - April/May. Some forum members (August/September applications) have reported getting a decision in 4-5 weeks. You will have a 16 digit UAN which means you'll get your decision via email rather than through the post. Watch out for an email from Home Office Atlas, normally goes straight into your junk/spam folder. Some members have also reported getting the ceremony invitation email from their council prior to getting a decision from UKVI/HO, happened to me as well - got my decision email nearly 4 weeks after my ceremony invitation email from the council.

Hello All,
I have a question and I was hoping someone could kindly shed some light on the confusion.
I have applied for naturalisation which could get approved any day now. The issue is I need to travel in December and even if the naturalisation gets approved this month, I am more than likely looking at the ceremony by the end of Nov or maybe December. Since passport takes 4-6 weeks to process + December x-mas holidays, it looks like I would not get it before January/February time.
My question: Can I still travel abroad on ILR and return even though my naturalisation application is approved? I can always delay the citizenship ceremony which would mean I am still not a British Citizen yet which should mean my ILR is still valid to enter back in the UK. Is that correct?
I will be travelling with 2 British Citizen children.
Many thanks,
Ray

Not sure you can delay your ceremony. Your HO approval email (or letter) will say 'You must attend your ceremony within three months of the date of this approval email". Having said that, a few members from the Birmingham area have reported getting their ceremony booked by the council for January - apparently there's no availability before January in Birmingham. I would delay travelling - once you get approval you've 21 days to book your ceremony and 3 months to attend it. If you don't your certificate is sent back to HO and you have to apply for naturalisation again.

I will wait and see... no other choice anyway, right
With that said, I dont see a 16 digit number anywhere. Are you saying it must exist due to the invite?

The number is generated by the HO system when you apply and will be in your acknowledgement email if you've received one and in the pdf copy of your application.

Thanks. I got the 16 digit code if its the code with 4 x 4 numbers.... got it when i logged into the webpage again. I dont have a pdf file or something...
The UKVI webpage tells me that I have 2 outstanding actions, which i both completed. Book the appointment for biometrics which I completed on June 19th and the Referee References have been provided with the application directly.
I think I am starting to overthink this

If you return to your application / sign into your UKVI account and scroll down, under optional actions you'll see 'download a copy of your application form', that'll be a pdf copy of your application. On there you'll have your Unique Application Number (UAN), you've applied in June so it'll look like this 1234-1234-1234-1234. A 16 digit UAN number basically means you'll get your HO decision via email. Prior to May this year UAN's were 8 digits, I think, old HO system which used to first generate an approval letter and then separately a ceremony invitation letter that you'd get through the post. HO now uses a new system where people get their decisions via email which comes from Home Office Atlas, the email is both your approval and ceremony invitation.

Once you've applied your UKVI account webpage will not change or update, it's not meant to anyway - it's not there to give you an update on your application.

You also have to monitor regular post, as a lot of people here reported that they only received physical letters but not email. And if your letter is lost (rarely but happens) there is no way to know about it or check the status of your application until 6 months have passed since the application date.
The Home Office is here to make your life as miserable as possible.

If the system was changed, this would likely be before I applied - 28th of April. I have a 16 digit UAN and a /00 at the end of it. No decision yet in what is supposed to be a very very straightforward application. Wife and 2 kids are British, never overstayed or with any adverse history in my 10+ years in the country.
