Applying for ILR 5 years rout Spouse

Dear all members,

I am completing my 5 years spouse visa next month November 2021. My current visa will end in March 2022.
Please correct me if I am wrong, I can apply for my ILR once I complete 5 years any time up until my current residence permit expires on March 2022!

When I applied for my spouse visa extension back in July 2019 I obtained a grade 5 GESE in English, can I reuse it for my ILR application? It has no expiry date, and was issued in June 2019.

Finally, do I have to pass the Life In the UK test before I apply for my ILR!

Please let me know the answer to my 3 queries.

My English GESE is level B1.1, I assume it’s higher than B1, so can I reuse it!

I have know knowledge of B1.1, however since successfully used before, it would be my opinion is can be reused subject to its still being on the HO approved list

GESE is a UK government-approved test for settlement and visa application purposes when taken at a Trinity SELT Centre

This is absolutely correct. I had my test at Trinity College “CEFR Level B1.1”. Can I reuse it for my ILR application along with a life in the UK test!

My wife came to UK on 11/11/2016 and I will be submitting her application for ILR in a day or two so IMO you should be fine.

Life in the UK is requirement and you MUST do it before submitting your application. It has no expiry date and can be reused with naturalization too.
