Hi ,

Can some please advise on the below my husband spouse visa is due to finish in feb 2022. We will be applying for his extension in Jan 2022.

I work in NHS and meet the financial requirements of 18600. I am currently on maternity leave started in jan 2021 until 3 jan 2022. The pay amount goes less when you are on maternity leave.

My question is can i use my 6 months playslipa prior to maternity leave to meet financial requirements.

Please advise on this x
Yes you can. Also will require letter from employer stating you were on maternity leave.

Is anyone else facing any difficulties with BRP card delays?

My wife's FLR(M) was accepted via the Super Priority Service over a week ago and we still have not received her BRP card in the post.

We have received an email informing us that there is a large back-log of BRP cards waiting to be produced and that this may cause delays.

This came as a surprise to us as we had previously received her BRP card within 2-3 days after acceptance.

If anyone has dealt with similar issues please can you let me know how long it took to arrive? We are leaving the country in a few weeks and don't want to require temporary travel documents in order to travel...

Many are experiencing delays.

You have been notified of the delay and there isn't anything you need or can do other than wait.

BRPs are not produced by UKVI as such, they are produced by a department at DVLA I believe.

Thanks.

From reading other forum members posts regarding these delays it seems that some are more affected than others.

The email confirms that it can be used to evidence my wife's legal immigration status in the UK. Does this mean that we can leave/re-enter the UK without her BRP card if it does not arrive in time for our trip?

She can leave. Whether an airline will allow her to board without a valid BRP is another matter. The letter is unlikely to carry any weight for airline travel as the letter specifically states it can be used by UK gov dept and employers to verify status.

Update: BRP card just arrived.

Hopefully everyone else having issues also receives theirs soon.
