I found out 95000 applications were received until June 2021 this year so far. I guess that's why its taking longer to get the decision. I don't know how many staff they have to deal with this sheer volume.

It really depends, possibly luck, possibly your application is straightforward. I have a colleague that applied this year and got her response after 2 months (not even EU, Ukrainian)

Yes, it all depends upon how straightforward your application is? But it also puts into perspective that they are overwhelmed with the work load.
