Schengen visa for the family member of an EU national

I am a Danish national and my new married husband is Chinese.I know it is not easy to bring my husband to Denmark,so I want to use EU law to bring my husband to settle in Germany. Does anybody know if it is easy to get a Schengen Visa in German embassy for the spouse of an EU national?and what documents do we need to supply?Because we just got married 1 week ago,we really don't know if my husband can apply now.If anybody has experience,please give some advice.Thank you !
