Application received by department per year

Post by OneWorld2122 » Wed Oct 27, 2021 9:33 pm

Hi,
Is there any page or data available where INIS shares number of applications received year by year for example 2020?

(I know minister provides 'total' number of in progress application)

I'm asking, if COVID and long extended lockdowns had any impact on number of applications received in 2020 and will give little hope if less applications received in 2020 then those applications may have quick turn around in 2021 and 2022

This is from April this year:

https://www.labour.ie/news/2021/04/23/1 ... r-a-decis/

Year - Applications - Average processing time

2016 - 13,018 - 5.8

2017 - 11,777 - 7.4

2018 - 12,867 - 10.4

2019 - 12,281 - 11.6

2020 - 10,138 - 13.5

2021 - 1,689 - 25

Yes, in 2016 the average processing time was less than 6 months. :|

Thank you I was looking for this information.

so it seems applications in 2020 are reduced by 17-20% from previous years.

and also in 2021 there may be some impact due to lockdown and delays with passport returns.

I hope there will some improvement in application processing time, cross fingers.
