I think because its your first passport so it make sense to apply as a first time application, but I've also seen a page highlighting issues for Pakistani nationals so its worth reading before apply as you've already awaiting long so don't want you to be a victim of some nonsense tactics resulting delay and frustration once again.

Yes brother, I'm just turned into the other page and ragged with experiences of pakistani nationals.. I would apply for FRC and birth cert and all I'd documents and get it stamped and verified by Pak embassy dublun. Which would be authentic and may leave no other doubt to Passport office ..
Just wondering what about nicop shall I submit it with the passport application as being refugee we shouldn't holding any I'd I guess ..

I have received the e-vetting letter on 4th October dated 1st October. Signed and sent back same day.
Applied in May 2018 (Stamp 1 and Stamp 4 non-EU). Second stage letter June 2018.
One thing I dont understand is why do they need to get consent? How were they doing vetting in the past? Were they asking for applicant's consent in the past? Besides, the e-vetting is meant to reduce the time needed to process the application whereas what it has done is increased more paperwork and added an unnecessary and stupid step in the middle. The whole system keeps getting stupider and dumber. Rant over.

Which basically means is that 2 civil servants have justified their jobs and future pensions, to which they contribute nothing ... One who actually did the e-vetting (ran my name against a db) and second who viewed it. Possibly another one, who actually look after updating online statuses of the e-vetting process. Now someone (another civil servant) would actually print it and put it in the file with other 2 vettings which have been done in the last 3 and a half years.

I dont think so nicop should be given as its not required for the first time passport application, but holding nicop isn't a problem as long as you don't use it to official purposes, you know where I'm coming from right?

Can I surprise you more, my vetting has done twice before evetting came in effect, then just 4 days before evetting done guards report on my FOI confirmed my evetting done it was literally 4 days before (3rd one) and technically if anyone who's dealing my file wouldn't put me for evetting because It has sorted 4 days before this evetting law came up but they ask.me for another one, I've sent my papers to them 2 months silence when I asked they replied we didn't get any papers from you hence after when I got my FOI papers I've sent was clipped with dates proving them wrong. But anyway I did send it again and it's done in August since then silence again.

I would never be able to understand how their system works and whether or not they delaying it deliberately or it's covid delay, even I can see theres another pain we have to go through after decesion till passport arrival.

I'm trying to be positive but I'm worrying for new applicants who hasn't even given their application number so its wait and wait and wait for new comers who has done nothing wrong but to choose living in this country as doctors engineers etc.

E vetting is mandatory. If it wasn’t a mandatory requirement back when your application was submitted, the citizenship office will contact you to do that.

Hi did you get citizenship letter straight away after 11 days of JR or they ask you to submit affidavit which they use to send of your loyalty to the state?

I've also given 3 months time from court to get a decision. So its important to know for me if you kindly reply

Do you have more details on the documents they are asking to be sent in advance of the ceremony? I got an email saying my application was approved (after applying for a FOI) and that I should get the approval letter soon but I want to ensure I have all documents ready. thanks
