Possible to expedite citizenship application?

Hello all - as the subject line of this post states;

Do you know of any method to expedite the citizenship application?

Have you successfully done so yourself or do you know a way that it can be done?

I have been waiting for approval since summer 2018 and at this point the waiting time is absolutely atrocious.

Every time I email since the past 2 years that keep telling me that they are “working hard” to clear off old applications. But I see other people getting approved so much faster.

What can be done to put pressure on the department?
