ECRIS certificate - has anyone ever used this to request a criminal record certificate for citizenship?

I was wondering if anyone here has used the ECRIS Criminal Record Check website/service - see weblink below:

-Have you used it for citizenship applications?
-If yes, was it accepted by INIS?

You are simply paying an extortionate amount of money to a third-party for them to get a report that should be free (bar some admin costs).

There is no requirement of providing a criminal record certificate for citizenship applications either. INIS only occasionally request for criminal records and they are usually for non-EU countries. If you are asked to provide a vetting certificate, INIS will tell you whom you should request the certificate from.
