Hi sharmaak
Yes, I did give the date of travel preferred from 01/Nov/2008.
Regarding delay, there is hardly anything we applicants can do. Its their own processing time.

Thanks
Mohan

Hi Shubhox,ramesh1
Can you please confirm on the requirements for dependent Visa if I go now to UK & then apply for my wife & a child.
Shubhox, is it mandatory that I be employed in UK for a specified time before appying for my wife(after I go to UK)?
Do they require Pay slips? Why I am asking is I may not be able to get a job with in 2-3 months after reaching UK(as per the current business conditions).
so it means that joining my wife with me will be delayed further?

Thanks in Advance
Mohan

Hi Mohan, I am not sure of the requirements after you go to the UK - maybe the senior members of the forum can comment on that. I understand that the main requirements are of maintenance funds and proof of relation. But if you are in the UK, then it is better to submit accommodation proof, employment documents, and salary slips.

In my case, I am in the process of applying for my wife's dependent visa - while I am still in India. There is no clause which states that one cannot apply for a dependent visa while the primary applicant is still in India. I confirmed the same with a immigration consultant as well.

I had applied for Tier 1 Visa on Aug 29th from VFS Hyderabad(HSMP Transitional Arrangement)... I sent a mail to BHC regarding my visa status as its been almost 2 months and got a response.

Dear XXXXX,

Thank you for your e-mail.

Your visa been issued. Your passport will be dispatched in 2 working days.

Yours sincerely

Does it mean visa has been approved? I know I am asking an idiotic question but I havent come across anyone for whom the Visa status has been confirmed over the mail. Please comment

No Syed786...it is not an idiotic question :) 'Your visa been issued' does sound like you have been granted the visa..
However, BHC or VFS don't confirm the visa status over the mail or phone...you will know about it once you receive your passport.

Best of luck!!

Hi syed786
You are in the same state as mine.
I too got "Visa Granted" mail from BHC on 08/Oct/2008.
By the same day evening, VFS has updated my status (with same as yours ...delivered via BlueDart.
Finally I got Passport to my home on 11/Oct/2008 with Visa Stamp.
Note: Oct, 9th & 10th are holidays for BlueDart here in Blr.
In your case you should receive it by tomorrow.
Dont worry..if you get confirmation from BHC, its almost done.

Confusion

Post by srai » Fri Oct 24, 2008 3:48 pm

Hi I Applied aug12 at VFS .When I contacted BHC after 2 and a half months they are saying integra verification not back. When I emailed integra they are saying they have sent the report one month back.

When I informed this to BHC they are saying its not linked to my application.I spoke to somebody higher up i think but she said shell find out and get back to me but have not heard from them.

Can somebody advice me on what to do.I am at my wits end with the BHC!!!

Documents missing

Post by shubhox » Sat Oct 25, 2008 9:37 am

Hi all,
My wife has also got her Tier 1 dependent visa now.
Her timelines are as follows:

Applied on: 17th October
Applied at: VFS Delhi
Status: Visa stamped on 23rd October

Although when we checked her documents, we found that they didnt return her original ITRs..when we spoke to the VFS officer about it, he asked us to send an application to BHC. We wrote the application then and there, and gave it to the VFS officer to forward it to BHC. We hope we get the docs back soon enough.

Tier 1 (Transitional)
Applied for HSMP: 22/02
Got HSMP Approval: 05/05
Applied for EC: 21/08
Stamped on 13/10
Delievered to VFS: 15/10

Apparently the Integra verification took max time during EC processing, once that was done, the stamping done within a couple of days.
