12 months on ILR start date

Post by traveller789654 » Sun Nov 14, 2021 6:38 pm

Hi
Wanted to clarify what is the start date to the 12 months on ilr requirement
Suppose Ilr was granted on 1st June 2020 (5 yr route T2 ), then I can apply for citizenship on 1st June 2021 ?

Will it make a difference that ilr approval was granted technically before the exact 5 yr mark (since arrival in UK) was achieved? Because we could apply 28 days before the 5 yr mark of initial visa approval?

It's 12 months from the granted date - the 28 days early application is only relevant to ILR, not naturalisation.
